History of The Home Education Exchange (THEE)

THEE began back in 1992 as the home school program of the Waterton Parks school division at a time when private schools in Alberta could not operate their own home school programs.  THEE operated under the Waterton Parks school division for two years and saw its home school student enrollment grow from 100 students to 150 students.

When Alberta Education allowed private schools to operate their own home school program, thee “moved” to administering the home school program at Newell Christian School beginning in 1994.  THEE began its first year at Newell Christian School with over 400 students, and 18 years later, THEE is currently still enjoying a strong working relationship with Newell Christian School administering the home school program with over 900 students.

Large enough to make a difference, yet small enough to care.
