Traditional Home Education Experts (THEE) has partnered with Elk Island Catholic Schools (EICS) to help administer the home education program of EICS, which is a willing non-resident home education board. The designation of EICS as a willing non-resident home education board means that home education parents from all over Alberta may choose to register through THEE. We welcome and serve homeschooling families from a host of differing backgrounds, beliefs, methods, and goals, and THEE supports homeschooling students from grade K to 12.
THEE consists of a team who is familiar, experienced, and actively supportive of home education.

Since 1992, Traditional Home Education Experts (THEE) has been serving families throughout Alberta. By registering with THEE as your homeschool board, you will have access to a team of experienced home education specialists who can provide specialized consultation to help your family along your homeschool path.
Below you will find five major reasons why we believe that you should join us here at THEE!
Don’t take our word alone! Read what homeschooling parents have said about their experiences with THEE to see why thousands of homeschooling parents in Alberta have chosen to homeschool with THEE.
Individualized support from veteran homeschool facilitators whose suggestions, comments, and recommendations will recognize the parent’s authority and will align with the parents’ values and goals for their children.
THEE provides individual academic counselling and suggestions for learning resources to each home educating parent to support them in their expressed purposes and goals for homeschooling. THEE will never prescribe or require a particular instructional method or set of learning resources; the parents are always in control of their program. We desire to encourage our families to pursue and achieve their personal, academic, and family goals by actively supporting and advocating for traditional homeschool.
THEE provides expert guidance to high school students and explains their options which include
(1) traditional homeschooling,
(2) high school credits,
(3) the Alberta Education diploma,
(4) Course Challenge (e.g. challenge exams
and portfolio assessments), and
(5) the special $650.00 grant for high
school students.
Foundational to all that we do is our Christian faith, and our prayer and goal is to conduct all of our interactions, consulting, encouragement, and support with grace and wisdom. We welcome the opportunities to support homeschooling families from a variety of faith or non-faith backgrounds.
