IXL Learning: THEE Offers Huge Discount on Price for Annual License

THEE can now offer a huge cost savings to all THEE parents who want to use IXL Learning (https://ca.ixl.com) within their child’s learning program. The normal retail cost for an annual license for the, “All Access”, license is $300.00, but by homeschooling with THEE, you can purchase this annual* license for $25.00!  The, “All Access”, license includes math, English language arts, and science:

This offer to purchase the IXL license at this steep discount is available during the 1^st semester only (approximately September 1-January 31).

*Annual: The “shelf-life” of the discounted-by-THEE annual license for the THEE student is from the 1^st semester of a given school year until the last day of summer holidays in August. See below for details.

Here are the Details:

On the first day of the 1^st semester of a given school year (approximately September 1^st), THEE will purchase a pre-determined number* of licenses (for example, 100 licenses) which will be for purchase by THEE parents during the first semester, and these first semester licenses will be available during the first semester of the school calendar; the discounted offer will expire on the last day of the 1^st semester (approximately January 31^st).  The price per license will remain the same whether the parent purchased the license on the first day or the last day of the first semester, and the license will expire on the last day of summer holidays no matter when the parent purchased the license during the first semester. Said another way, the activation (e.g. the availability for use) for a THEE-discounted license will be from the day that the parent purchases the IXL license from THEE during the first semester, through the second semester, and through the months of July and August of the current school year.

In this unique-to-THEE context, all licenses will expire on the last day of August, and I will purchase another pre-determined number of licenses for the upcoming school year on the first day of the new school year (approximately September 1^st).

*NOTE: Because THEE will have to buy student licenses in packs of 10, after THEE has sold the initial set of pre-purchased licenses to THEE parents, I (Brett) will create a waiting list of names of students who will need to wait until I have a set of 10 students whose parents want to purchase a discounted IXL license. I will then purchase additional packs of 10 student licenses after I have received the purchase requests for an additional 10 students.

Order Your License(s)

THEE parents can begin today (June 17, 2025) to order the license(s) for IXL.  Send your email message to [email protected] and remember to tell him, within your email message, the following details:

• Name of each child (first & last name)
• Grade level of each child
• Whether or not you want him to email to you a receipt of payment (later in August-September) because you want to submit your payment for reimbursement using your home education funding
  
  

Do not yet send payment.  Brett will contact you later in August regarding payment.  You will be reserving the license at this time for your child/children.

Brett will purchase the IXL licenses on or about September 1, 2025, for the start of the 2025-26 school year.

Payment & Method

To make available this steep price discount, I have established the following policies and procedures:

1. Parents will have two weeks from the time of notice (later in August) to send payment via EFT to [email protected]. After that two week window of time, any student whose name is on the waiting list will receive the opportunity to purchase the license which had previously been held awaiting payment.

2. We at THEE can only accept EFT payment, and you will need to send EFT payment to [email protected].   In your online EFT payment page, be sure to enter the following details:
   • Name of each child (first & last name)
   • Grade level of each child
   • A short statement that the payment is for the purchase of [X] number of IXL purchases for your children (X = the number of licenses that you’ve purchased). An example of the message that you will need to include in your EFT setup page is as follows: “This payment is for the purchase of two $25 IXL licenses, and the licenses are for my children, Joe Smith (grade 3) and Jessy Smith (grade 5)”.

3. We at THEE reserve the right to hold or cancel your purchase of the IXL license(s) if you do not follow these instructions. If we must cancel your payment, we will provide to you a refund of the amount that you sent minus any and all bank fees that THEE’s bank account had to pay to process and provide your refund.

4. You will need to pay for the purchase of the $25.00 per student license from “out of pocket” funds via EFT.  That is, you will not be able to use a Purchase Order (PO) Number from THEE to pay for the purchase due to an internal school division rule.  You can receive reimbursement from your home education funding for your purchase of the IXL license.

1. Once I have received your EFT payment, along with the required information, I will create your son or daughter’s IXL account within the online IXL site and will email to you the login username and password for your child.
