Welcome to the Homeschooling into these video open house. My name is Brett Bowers, and I’m the director here. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this introductory video, in which I’ll briefly introduce you to the Homeschooling and homeschooling in Alberta. We’ve been serving homeschool families in Alberta since 1992, and we would love for you to join us for the next school year. We’ve created these videos for our video open house to help answer the question, “How does homeschooling work, and can I make it work for my family?” Please join me for the rest of the discussion inside, upstairs in our office.

As I mentioned while we were talking outside, one of the main reasons for having this video open house series is to answer the big question, “How does homeschooling work?” Within that large question are a host of others, ranging from the very basic, like registration, to the very philosophical, such as “Why should I homeschool?” or “Why is this the right decision for our family?” We at The Homeschooling realize you have many questions, especially if you’re new to homeschooling, and we have tried to address as many of those concerns as we can think of.

We’ve organized our video series into 10 different categories, again ranging from the very basic and hands-on, like “getting started,” all the way to the philosophical. We also have videos that specifically focus on things that we do uniquely here. Please take your time and go through our videos, looking for those that address your concerns. If you don’t see a video that addresses a concern you have, please contact us. I would love to talk to you and maybe even make a video about it. We hope that these videos are helpful to you.
